Series 1 of record group 92-213 consists of county resource files from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Parks Division (and its predecessor, the Department of Conservation) for the years 1923-1970. Includes correspondence, reports, maps, some land exchange files, and a few photographs. These files document the appraisal process for acquiring land for state parks and recreation areas from the counties. Some county parks were upgraded, while other land was exchanged or purchased from individuals.
